Teaching children that all people should be judged as individuals, regardless of their race is great. Teaching children that the U.S. is systematically racist as a nation and that racism is illustrated and amplified by “white privilege” is both wrong in fact and divisive as hell.
Janet Yellen, Biden’s Treasury Secretary knows the higher corporate tax rates Biden wants will reduce American competitive ability to compete globally. Her answer to this is to get other countries to raise their corporate taxes. To achieve this objective she seems willing to give international bodies the ability to determine our tax rates. It is an awful policy direction; one that I hope fails.

Critical Race Theory is the progressive antidote to the notion that America is systemically racist. It is, at the same time, wrong, divisive and dangerous. School boards have to be lead by parents who understand the damage this kind of teaching can cause.

Biden’s tax proposal involves raising the corporate tax rate to 28%, putting the U.S. corporations at a substantial competitive disadvantage. The Treasury Department has been working with other governments to get them to raise their rates so all countries can increase their revenue and fool the public into thinking they are not paying the tax that is really another cost to businesses.
I don’t know what Maxine Waters was thinking when she attempted to intimidate the jury in Minneapolis at the Dennis Chauvin trial or if she was simply bored and wanted to appear on TV, but she certainly helped the defense in its argument for a mistrial. If its granted, you can guess that we will see an outbreak of violence across the country, with the attendant rioting and looting. If he is not granted a retrial, you can be sure BLM will take it as a clear signal that jury intimidation is alive and well. To me BLM and its supporters are the mirror image of the KKK and their intimidation tactics.
Many people hear the words “critical race theory” or see the results of applying this theory in their schools and in the newspapers but do not understand exactly what it is and how pernicious it is to our nation. Chris Rufo does an excellent job in explaining it in this relative short article in the City Journal.
Many people wonder how close we are to completely destroying our patrimony and beginning the process of sliding into our national old age and decline. Mr. Hansen articulates this concern.
Dennis Chauvin was convicted of murder by the system but the jury and the world also convicted him as a racist, although there was no evidence of that alleged or presented at his trial. You would not realize that until you noticed that race mongers in the White House, the Congress and the progressive press simply wanted to reinforce their narrative of institutional racism throughout the justice system. Evidence is not needed if the criminal is black and the policeman is white. Andrew McCarthy does an excellent job explaining this as always in his essays.
